Mount Alvernia provides general and specialist secondary education facilities which are maintained at a high standard. The College continues to improve its facilities and has developed a Master Building Plan to co-ordinate development into the future.
The College currently has many specialist facilities equipped with modern resources and equipment. These facilities include:
- Learning Resource Centre with computers, print and audio-visual resources and equipment.
- Computer Technology including networked computer laboratories; stand-alone and networked classroom computers and laptops; multi-media and internet capabilities.
- Learning Enrichment Centre with computers and other resources for learning support, enrichment and extension activities.
- Language Laboratory to facilitate the learning of Languages other than English (LOTE).
- Multi-Purpose Centre including facilities for Drama, Health & Physical Education and Music
- Recording Studio
- Video Editing Suite
- Photography darkroom
- Science Laboratories
- Catering, cooking and textiles rooms
- Outdoor tennis, and indoor basketball and netball courts
- Swimming Pool
Resources and facilities are being constantly upgraded and the College is well supported in this approach by parents and by the activities of the P&F.
