Position Vacant

We are seeking an exceptional applicant for two contract positions of Guidance Counsellor.  The first is a full-time, fixed-term contract to commence 16 July and conclude 7 December 2018 (applications close 9am, Friday 22 June), and the second is a full-time fixed-term to commence on 16 July and conclude 6 December 2019 (applications close 9am, Wednesday 27 June).

Information for applicants:

  • Must have registration with AHPRA as a psychologist and eligibility to be a member of the APS.
  • Previous experience in a school counsellor position is preferred.
  • This role includes:
    • Working one-on-one in a counselling environment for students aged eleven to eighteen years;
    • Referral liaison with external treating teams and another College Counsellor;
    • Psychometric assessment;
    • Development of personal development curriculum; and
    • Creation and support of mental health initiatives in the school community.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of a successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory screening for child-related employment in accordance with the law.
