Pastoral And Spiritual Formation

As a Catholic college for young women, part of our learning framework focuses on demonstrating our Franciscan values through faith, community, social justice and personal development.

Developing pastorally and spiritually is seen as a distinct outcome of a Mount Alvernian education, with each girl given the opportunity to participate fully in our extensive programs.

Mount Alvernians have many opportunities in and outside the classroom to grow as a person and one with Christ.  Immense importance is placed on our Franciscan values and as such we offer structured programs including each year level’s own Personal Development Program, external Outreach and Mission programs and internal Liturgy and Spiritual Retreats.

The students all  benefit from an annual camp whereby they will have the opportunity for teamwork, personal reflection and time with God.

Students who aspire to leadership roles may also be selected to participate in various committees and as a Student Leader.
