Camps
To support the personal development program students are required to attend an outdoor education camp or retreat experience. The attendance at these experiences is compulsory. The Years 7, 8, and 9 Camps are facilitated by Adventure Alternatives, which offers a sequential program ensuring the activities match the age and ability of the students. Adventure Alternative Camps are held on one of their three Outdoor Education Facilities: Neurum Creek, Maleny, Woodford, or Kenilworth.
Year 7
Year 7 students attend a three-day outdoor education camp to form new friendships and to assist them in developing positive relationships with self, peers, the environment, and their community.
Year 8
Year 8 students attend a three-day outdoor education camp, which continues to enhance their sense of place, critical and creative thinking, and personal and social competence.
Year 9
Year 9 students attend a four-day outdoor education camp, which focuses on perseverance, relationships, and decision-making.
Year 10
Year 10 students attend a spiritual retreat.
Year 11
Year 11 students attend a two-day spiritual retreat, which emphasises servant leadership and their journey into their final year as leaders of the College community.
Year 12
Year 12 students attend two separate day-long retreat experiences. In Semester 1 students engage in mindfulness and meditation. At the end of Semester 2 the students are involved in an aptly named Evolution Day. The central focus of this day is to connect with the process of moving on and the specialness of different journeys.
