Our Wonderful Cultural Festival

Date: October 2, 2019    Posted by: Camilla Horn

Term 3 ended in a joyous way, with our annual Cultural Festival.  Commencing with a Welcome to Country, Indigenous dance troupe, and smoking ceremony, we moved to the San Damiano for the liturgy to mark our College Feast Day.   The wide range of activities on offer and the colourful costumes donned by students and staff made a truly festive atmosphere, and the Rock Band performance on the Ruin was loud and exuberant.  The afternoon concert was full of house spirit (congratulations to all in Villa Spade for taking the cultural honours) – Mt A has talent!!  Congratulations to those who took part in the many competitions and thanks to Ms Lorella Masci, Cultural Captain Amy Strachan, and all who took on the many tasks associated with organising such a wonderful celebration.

As if that weren’t enough excitement for one day, We Will Rock You was unveiled as the 2020 Mt A/Padua musical, and our student captains for 2020 were announced and presented to the assembly.
