Technology
Information technology (IT) plays an important role in school life at Mount Alvernia College. Various technologies are seamlessly integrated into the College’s teaching and learning programs, allowing your daughter the chance to achieve her academic goals in a way that would not be possible using traditional methods. Your daughter is a child of the digital age, and the College endeavours to prepare her to succeed in our ever-evolving world.
Features of our IT immersion program include:
- Students are given a network username, space on the network to store data and unlimited filtered Internet access as well as a personal email address.
- While students bring their own technology, music labs are equipped with computers connected to electronic keyboards, plus design, image, and video editing facilities are available.
- Expansive high-speed wired network is complemented by flexible wireless network that links all buildings and outside areas on the College campus
- Additional technology available for students includes specially fitted-out multimedia computers, data projectors, digital cameras, scanners, digital sewing machines, and interactive whiteboards in classrooms and the Learning Resource Centre.
