Connecting Mount Alvernia College’s Past Students
The success enjoyed by the College has been achieved by a unique history of Franciscan spirituality that has fostered and nurtured special relationships between students, teachers and parents, all working together to create the Mount Alvernia family.
We intend to provide an avenue for past students to keep in contact with their former classmates and keep up to date with the latest events of the College. We will include details and photos of reunions that are being organised by different groups here on our website. We encourage you to share your stories with current members of our community and to be involved as guest speakers and/or participation in mentoring programs. In particular, details of the achievements and accomplishments of past students are most welcome.
Are you a Past Student of Mount Alvernia?
Please complete the details form if you have not provided your details previously, or if your details need to be updated. This form can be filled out online or downloaded as a PDF. Please forward the PDF to the College by following the included instructions. Please pass on this information to your relatives, friends and neighbours who are past students of Mt A.
Are you looking to get more involved with Mount Alvernia?
For ten years, the Alumnae has reconnected many long-lost friends, hosted reunions, raised funds for uniform bursaries, located past students, published notable stories, and preserved the College’s history with on-site displays.
To continue, we need your help.
We are looking for volunteers to get involved, whenever it suits YOU. Time is precious! Perhaps you could offer two hours a month to attend planning meetings, assist at reunions or movie nights, or perhaps help from home by making phone calls, etc. There are many aspects with which you can CHOOSE to be involved. You may have creative ideas for new projects, computer skills, or experience in marketing, photography, and much more.
If you have energy and are passionate about keeping Mt A’s spirit and traditions alive, the Alumnae invites you to get in touch.
Come along to our meetings (either on your own or bring a friend) in The Centre at Delamore (the old convent – access via the driveway on Turner Road closest to Jardine Street).
We would love to see you there!
Meetings 2019: 9 April, 14 May, 11 June, 9 July, 13 August, 10 September, 15 October, 12 November, 10 December.
Meetings begin at 6.00pm in The Centre, located at Delamore (the old convent). To access The Centre, use the driveway on Turner Road closest to Jardine Street.
If night meetings aren’t convenient, please consider lending a hand at various functions, or perhaps you could help when needed, with smaller jobs you could do from home. The meetings are productive, relaxed, and a good opportunity to reminisce and make new friends.
For further information or if you would like to share your stories and photos, please contact email@example.com.

Where Are They Now?
We are always keen to receive and publish news of past students in the newsletter and website. Many Mt A women are making wonderful contributions to their world. Either nominate yourself or a fellow Mount Alvernian by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you know someone who makes a difference within the community, who is an unsung hero or displays courage or bravery, someone who has shown leadership, or achieved within their career or personal life? If so, then please email: email@example.com
Every two years, the Alumnae and College produces a book that recognizes past students that personify the spirit of Mt A. Life takes us in all directions and these stories could be the inspiration for our young women.
Donations to Archives
To preserve Mt A’s history, we encourage you to send any photographs and other treasures (exercise books, programs of events, newsletters, etc) from your school days which can be showcased in the Delamore Room. Come and visit these displays throughout the year.
