Mount Alvernia College is well serviced by public transport and has an arrangement with TransLink for student bus transportation with the College, through both Thompson’s Bus Services and Brisbane City Council bus services.

Thompson’s Private Bus Service

Thompson’s Bus Services, in conjunction with Mount Alvernia and Padua Colleges, offers a private F1 service that covers bus transport to many Northern suburbs including Aspley, Zillmere, Virginia, Geebung, Wavell Heights, Nundah, Wooloowin, Clayfield, Hendra, Ascot, Albion, Windsor, Wilston, Lutwyche and Gordon Park.

Flexi Passes enabling access to this service can be purchased by following the below steps:

  1. Contact Padua College IT at help@padua.qld.edu.au to request a Padua Student ID Card with a barcode to be used for payment for the F1 Bus Service.  You will need to provide student name, address and date of birth.
  2. Once you have received your Padua Student ID Card, create a Flexischools account using the barcode on the card, and add funds for fare payment (information on Flexischools below).  For students who already have a Flexischools account with another school, an additional account will need to be created and connected to Padua.
  3. Students then use the Padua ID Card to travel on the F1 Bus Service.
